"This was my first experience with the consensus process, so I cant compare it to other examples, but it seems to me there were plenty of opportunities for the process to derail, but it didnt your skills as facilitators helped us stay focused on the issues and objectives, even as we were defining them Truly this process was an experience that was unforgettable and worth the effort."
Don Scott, Director of Packaging, Sonoma Wine Co.

Summary Report: Luther Burbank Center Wells Fargo Outdoor Stage Neighborhood Dialogue

Some Past Projects

Building Consensus on Day Labor Issues: NBCC facilitated a year-long project to build consensus around a contentious issue within the community of Graton, California. The project included an assessment of 55 stakeholders, 3 community meetings, and a series of 12 meetings with representatives from across stakeholder groups including resident, business, day labor, community, county, and environmental. At the heart of the project was the development of an agreed upon work plan outlining the scope of the work acknowledging the need for both flexibility and accountability from execution through evaluation. The project concluded with a series of recommendations for the establishment of a day labor hall as well as a series of reports. (Please go to the Graton link to read more about this project.)
